Open ground Eid Jamat in Tower Hamlets

3Bangla Mirror Desk : Open ground Eid Jamat will be taking place in Tower Hamlets again. This coming Friday or Saturday (subject to the moon), Eid Ul Fitr Jamat will be held at Mile End Stadium in East London.  The organisers confirmed this in a press conference held on 14th July.
Tower Hamlets Council approved this open ground Eid Jamat after three years. About four thousand people can take part in Eid Prayer at Mile End Stadium.  The only Eid Jamat at the stadium will be held at 9 o’clock in the morning.  There will be separate facilities for women.
Mowlana Abdur Rahman Madani will be the Imam of the Eid Jamat. International Charity organisation Human Appeal will provide assistance throughout the prayer.
The open ground Eid Jamat first took place at Stepney Green Park in 2008.  However, it has been stopped for last three years.  After tireless efforts from Cllr Khalis Uddin Ahmed and former Cllr Abdal Ullah, council again approved the open ground Eid prayer in Tower Hamlets.
The organisers urged everyone to do Wodu at home before coming to Eid Prayer.  Cllr Ayas Miah and Sanu Miah were also present at the press conference along with Cllr Khalis Uddin Ahmed and Abdal Ullah.
