Tulip celebrates Eid

Tulip Siddiq MP for Hampstead & Kilburn celebrated Eid with her supporters on 19 July at White House venue, Barking, East London.
The event was attended by a huge number of her party activists, supporters and well wishers. Andy Burnham MP, running for Labour leadership, Keith Vaz MP, Chair Home Affairs Select Committee, Shadow Minister for Employment Stephen Timms MP, London mayoral candidate Sadiq Khan MP and Mike Gapes MP addressed the event amongst others. The Eid celebration was conducted by TV personality Urmee Mazhar. The event began with Moulana Shafiqur Rahman Biplobi reciting from the Holy Quran.
Tulip Siddiq MP in her address thanked all, including her mother Sheikh Rehana, aunt Sheikh Hasina & Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury, whose team worked tirelessly during the election campaign. Tulip’s mother Sheikh Rehana in a rare appearance also addressed the event thanking all seeking blessings for her daughter.
Guests were entertained to Bengali music dance with dinner.
