Bangladeshi High Commission in London has celebrated the 45th Independence Day with due respect
and dignity. High Commissioner Md Abdul Hannan hoisted the flag on the morning of 26th March at
High Commission office in the presence other High Commission officials. This was followed by
reading the messaged of Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and State Foreign Minister.
The High Commission also arranged a reception at Kensington Town Hall to mark the 45th
anniversary of Independence Day. High Commissioner Md Abdul Hannan welcomed the guests
where the national anthem was played in front of the present guests.
The High Commissioner remembered father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibor Rahman and
his contribution in independence. He also remembered those who gave their lives and dignity to
achieve the independence.
Community leaders, professionals, representative from different cultural and political and cultural
organisations and journalists from different electronic and press media were present at the
reception.
On the other hand Bangladeshi flag was hoisted in Westminster Abbey on the 29th March evening.
