Enam Ali MBE becomes the President of BBCCI

22Enam Ali MBE has become the President of British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries which was held on 20th of April. Monir Ahmed, Managing Director of JMG Air-Cargo was elected as Finance director for the organisation.

The bi-yearly General meeting and election of British-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industries was held on 20th of April in a hall in East London.

Election was only held on two positions among the twenty two executive posts. Enam Ali received 16 votes and the other candidate Rafique Haider received 10 votes.

On the other hand Monir Ahmed was elected receiving 15 votes and the other candidate Shafiqul Islam received 11 votes.

Sydur Rahman Renu will be acting as Director General whereas Mohib Chowdhury and M A Qayum will be occupying the Vice-President posts.

There are 35 Directors posts in BBCCI altogether and 22 posts in Executive committee.

Barrister Anis Rahman OBE, former Deputy Mayor of Tower Hamlets Ohid Ahmed and Barrister Nazir Ahmed acted as Election Commissioners.

The new Executive Committee will run the organisation for two years.
