Commonwealth Journalists Association member won House of Lords British Community Honour Award 2019

Mansoor Ahmad, a member of Commonwealth Journalists Association UK won British Community Honours Award 2019. He received this award in an award giving ceremony organised by British Community Honours Award – BCHA held on Friday, the 18th October, 2019 at The House of Lords, the second chamber of the UK Parliament for his outstanding contribution towards British Society.

Expressing his feelings on receiving this award, Mansoor Ahmad said, ‘I am extremely honoured and so thrilled to have won the British Community Honours Awards 2019. I am earnestly grateful for the recognition I have received for my contribution towards the community and I believe this respect would no doubt encourage & stimulate me to contribute further for the British Community.’

Mansoor is a qualified accountant currently serving as Manager, Accounts & Finance with Al Shirkatul Islamiyyah which is one of the largest Charities in UK. He migrated from Bangladesh in 2007 under British Government’s Highly Skilled Migration Program. He has voluntarily been involved with various primary schools, high schools and community works. He actively served as Parent Governor, Chairman, & Member of many Committees. He also served as a Co-opted Member for various Commissions under Merton Council. He has currently been serving as a Governor of St. John Fisher School and is dynamically being involved with various school committees.

Mansoor has been recognised by the British Citizen Award (BCA) for exceptional contribution to society and being an inspirational to other British Citizens in January 2019.

Mansoor authored numerous articles published in prestigious national, international journals, magazines and daily newspapers.

 

He is a life dedicated member of Ahmadiyya Muslim Association UK.
