Jamaat’s publicity secretary Motiur Rahman picked up by police

Jamaat-e-Islami central committee’s publicity secretary Adv Motiur Rahman Akand was picked up from Uttara in the capital on Wednesday morning.

Police’s Uattar Division DC Morshed Alam said Motiur Rahman was arrested from his residence in sector 14 at about 11am.

According to Jamaat’s Dhaka Metropolitan South publicity secretary Ataur Rahman Sarker, Motiur Rahman Akand has undergone a bypass surgery. He was at United Hospital on Tuesday and had done an MRI there. When he was taking preparation for going to the hospital again, police raided his house and picked him up.”
