TCB to start selling essentials items from Sunday

The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) is set to start selling essential commodities across the country from Sunday to one crore families card holders for the month of September.

TCB in a press release on Saturday said under this move, rice at subsidised prices alongside lentil and edible oil will be sold by the TCB dealers from their shops or permanent structures in cooperation with the concerned city corporations, district and upazila administrations in certain date and time.

Each family card holder will be able to buy maximum two litres of edible oil at Tk100 per litre, two kilograms of lentil at Tk 60 per kg and five-kg of rice at Tk 30 per kg.
