Decision on AL’s registration once gazette is published: CEC

A decision on Awami League’s registration will be taken after the gazette is published, said Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A MM Nasir Uddin on Sunday.

“Once the gazette is published, we will sit with the Election Commission on the issue. The decision will be taken after discussion,” the CEC said this to media today.

Nasir Uddin added, “Because we have to take decisions based on the current spirit of Bangladesh. If the gazette is issued on Monday, the decision will be made tomorrow.

The Advisory Council of Bangladesh interim government on Saturday banned all political activities of Awami League.
