Aneet Padda pens emotional note after Saiyaara success: “I’m scared of what’s next, but I’ll give it my all”

Rising star Aneet Padda, who has captivated audiences with her poignant performance in Saiyaara, took to Instagram on Thursday to thank fans for their overwhelming love and reflect on her journey so far.

“The daze is wearing off and all I want to say is that I love you… I don’t know what to do except give it back,” Padda wrote in an emotional note. “I’m scared of what’s next, scared I won’t be enough, but whatever I have… I’ll put it out there.”

The young actor plays Vaani Batra, an aspiring writer diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s, in Mohit Suri’s latest film. Her raw, unfiltered portrayal of the character has received widespread acclaim, positioning her as one of the breakout talents of the year.

Padda also shared a series of previously unseen stills from the film, which was produced by Yash Raj Films CEO Akshaye Widhani and released on July 18. Saiyaara, also starring Ahaan Panday, has struck a chord with both critics and viewers, grossing over ₹306 crore in India and nearing the end of a successful three-week run at the box office.

Director Mohit Suri opened up about the casting process, revealing it took several months to find someone who could bring authenticity to the complex role. “I needed someone who hadn’t altered themselves cosmetically… someone real,” Suri said. “Aneet had done some work before and was brilliant. She fit right in.”

He praised her connection to the character, saying, “We often misjudge what small-town India is like—they’re more open than we think. Aneet had more to share with me than I had with her.”

As Padda’s performance continues to win hearts, her heartfelt message has only deepened the emotional connection fans feel toward both the actor and the story she helped bring to life.
