Ex-DIG Nahidul Islam arrested from Eskaton residence

Former Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) AKM Nahidul Islam has been arrested.

A team of Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested him from his Eskaton residence in the capital on early Saturday following an arrest warrant issued by the International Crimes Tribunal.

Nahidul, also former superintendent of Police, Meherpur, was arrested based on intelligence information, according to a top DB official.
