Sixty artists have come together to portray the many dimensions of Goddess Durga through their individual artistic perspectives at a four-day exhibition titled Shilpir Chokhe Durga (Durga Through the Eyes of Artists) at Gallery Chitrak in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.

Organised by Shakti Shilpajatra in association with Bishwo Rang, the exhibition was formally inaugurated on October 9, bringing together artists, cultural personalities and people from different walks of life in a celebration of art, diversity and secular spirit.

The exhibition presents a wide range of interpretations of the goddess, with each artist exploring her strength, courage, compassion, motherhood and contemporary significance through colours, lines and creative expressions.

Among those attending the inauguration were actors Dilara Zaman and Abul Hayat, journalist Santosh Sharma and model Sadia Islam Mou, along with other distinguished guests from different fields.

Speaking on behalf of the organisers, artist, fashion designer and entrepreneur Biplob Saha said Goddess Durga was not merely a religious symbol but also a representation of the inner strength of human beings.
He said the goddess inspires people to stand against injustice, seek light amid darkness and explore new possibilities through creativity.
