Appeal dismissed, verdict on Jamaat’s registration upheld

The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on Sunday dismissed Jamaat-e-Islami’s leave-to-appeal petition and upheld the High Court’s earlier verdict that declared the registration of Jamaat-e-Islami as a political party illegal.
