Misbah replaces Shoaib Malik in CPL’s Barbados Tridents

36Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq has been roped in the absence of his compatriot Shoaib Malik in the Barbados Tridents squad for the team’s remaining games in the 2015 Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Malik has reportedly been recalled by Pakistan for their ODI series against Sri Lanka, although no official announcement has been made in this regard.
CPL director Tom Moody said that Shoaib has been fantastic in the tournament and, therefore, it is a shame to lose him. However, he added that they are delighted that the all-rounder is back in the Pakistan squad and they wished him every success in the upcoming series, the Dawn reported.
Describing Misbah as one of the ‘respected cricketers in the world’, Moody said that the Pakistan skipper would be an excellent addition to the Tridents squad.
Misbah, who has previously played for St. Lucia Zouks, has made 2,635 runs at an average of 36 in the T20 format of the game (ANI)
