Captain of Bangladesh T20 and ODI team Mashrafe Mortaza and India’s ex skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni had something in common in their childhood.
In their school-boy’s dreams, they both wanted to be an active member of the armed forces, a daring and dashing hero in uniform!
MS Dhoni got his wish fulfilled when he received the rank of honourary lieutenant colonel in the Parachute Regiment in 2014. Mashrafe is now on the verge of living his childhood dream, at the ripe years of 31 and counting.
Captain Courageous of Bangladesh Mashrafe Mortaza will receive a ‘honourary post’ in Bangladesh police very soon, as the law enforcing authorities decided to honor his World Cup’s heroics in Australia and New Zealand.
S M Moniruzzaman, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police of Khulna range, recently told the media that the steps were underway in this regard to offer an honourary post of Bangladesh Police to the cricket champion from Narail.
Nevertheless, Moniruzzaman did not spell out what post will be given to the cricketer.
In the meantime, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, reportedly agreed to receive the honourary post as well, with his official social media site carrying the news.
