Kruif out Lopez in Fabio Lopez named Bangladesh Nat’l Football team coach

Lodwijk de Kruif, former coach of Bangladesh national football team, left Dhaka early Thursday after ending the speculations over separation from Bangladesh Football Federation.

Fabio Lopez, a goalkeeper-turned coach from Italy, is likely going to take the charge of the head coach of Bangladesh national football team for the next four months.

Before leaving the country he also wished Italian Fabio Lopez well with his new venture.

An emotion choked Kruif said he had given Bangladesh football a new identity. ‘The boys are like my sons. I will miss them,’ he said at airport.

Kruif also stressed the importance of professionalism in football and regretted for impatience saying, ‘There is no patience here.’

The 42-year old Rome-born Italian held a meeting with the BFF high-up on Wednesday and his appointment could be announced today.
