Greater Sylhet Education Trust orgnaised its Iftar Mahfil on 14th June in Royal Regency Hall in East London.
President of the Trust Abdul Bari discussed and presented various activities performed by the Trust in the pre-iftar discussion meeting. He also urged to people who are not yet a member, to come forward and take the membership, so the organisation can help even more people in Sylhet.
Mayor Parvez Ahmed conducted the event and MP Stephen Thames addressed the audience as Chief Guest.
Money was raised by charity appeal in the Iftar Party which would be spent for educational purpose in Bangladesh. Barrister Redwan Hossain conducted the appeal.
Along with other trust officials, Cllr Hanif Abdul Mukith, Cllr David Christy, Mahidur Rahman and other community activists were present at the Iftar.
