Iftar Mahfil orgnaised by Cheshire Asian and Minority Council

cheCheshire Asian and Minority Council organised a discussion meeting and Iftar Mahfil on 22nd June in a restaurant in Chesire. Chairperson of the organisation Abdun Noor initiated the pre-iftar meeting with his welcoming speech. In his speech he mentioned that they have orgnaisede the meeting and Iftar party to bridge the communities and professionals across the UK.

The discussion meeting was conducted by Bhupindra Laich where Vice-chancellor of Chesire University Professor Tim Wheeler attended as the Chief Guest.

The speakers empathised that Muslims don’t tolerate terrorism. Terrorism was never tolerated in the Holy Quran. Without any reason, Muslims are becoming victims of propaganda. The speakers also emphasised on the importance of Ramadan.

Guests who addressed the audience included Police and Crime Commissioner David Killan, MP Chris Mathison, Assistant Chief Constable Sarah Boycott, Chairman Kibria, Dr Nayeema Hasan, Dr Kowshik and others.

Guests who attended the meeting and Iftar included former Chairperson of Greater Sylhet Development and Welfare Council in UK Monsob Ali JP, Sahmsuddin Ahmed MBE, freedom fighter Sabbir Ahmed Chowdhury, General Secretary of Liverpool Bangla Press Club Fakhrul Alam, Joint Secretary Abu Sayeed Chowdhury Sadi, M Azad and others.
