Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)’s Sylhet district unit today formed a human-chain with a demand to trace BNP’s former organizing secretary M Ilias Ali, who along with his driver Ansar Ali, went missing from Dhaka’s Banani area on April 17, 2012.
BNP’s Sylhet District Unit President Abdul Quiyum Chowdhury chaired the human-chain formed at Court Point in the city, reports BSS.
BNP Chairperson’s Adviser Khandaker Abdul Muktadir addressed the programme as the chief guest.
The speakers claimed that under the patronization of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, many BNP leaders and workers, including Ilias Ali, were abducted.
BNP Central Committee’s Microcredit Affairs Assistant Secretary Abdur Razzak, BNP’s Sylhet District Unit General Secretary Emran Ahmed Chowdhury and Sylhet City BNP General Secretary Emdad Hossain Chowdhury, among others, spoke.
