A high-level delegation led by Deputy Under Secretary Brent Neiman arrived in Dhaka on Saturday (September 13) morning on a three-day visit to Bangladesh.
A plane, carrying the delegation, landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the morning.
Foreign ministry’s Director General (North America Wing) Khandaker Masudul Alam received Brent Neiman at the airport.
The delegation includes US State Department Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia Donald Lu and USAID Deputy Assistant Administrator for Asia Anjali Kaur. It consist of representatives from the US National Security Council, State Department, Treasury and international donor agencies.
However, Donald Lu arrives in Dhaka via New Delhi this afternoon.
During their Dhaka visit, members of the delegation will hold meetings with the Chief Adviser and other Advisers.
Regarding the visit of the US delegation, foreign secretary Md Jashim Uddin said the delegation is coming to Dhaka following the interim government’s assumption of power.
The delegation will leave Dhaka on September 16.
