After three-day break, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has sat with the National Consensus Commission.
The meeting started at the LD Hall of the National Parliament Building on Sunday morning. BNP standing committee member Salauddin Ahmed is leading the five-member delegation.
At the beginning, Salahuddin Ahmed said that the issues discussed in the last meeting with the Consensus Commission were discussed in the BNP party forum. It will be possible to discuss the issues in detail after today’s discussion.
Other members of the delegation includes Council member of the BNP Chairperson Ismail Jabiullah and former general secretary of the Supreme Court Lawyers Association Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajol.
The first round day-long dialogue held on Thursday (April 17).
The session is being chaired by Professor Ali Riaz, vice-president of the National Consensus Commission. Other commission members present include Iftekharuzzaman, Justice Emdadul Haque, Badiul Alam Majumdar, Safar Raj Hossain, and Monir Haidar, special assistant to the chief adviser.
On February 15, the consensus commission held a first meeting with several political parties, including the BNP.
