UN Security Council to meet Friday over Israel-Iran conflict

The United Nations Security Council will hold a session on Friday to address the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran, according to Guyana, the current council president.

This will be the second meeting on the issue in a week. The first urgent session was held after Israel launched an attack last Friday. The upcoming meeting was requested by Iran, with backing from Russia, China, and Pakistan, a diplomat told AFP on Wednesday.
