Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized an Indian-made revolver and ammunition during an operation at Doarabazar border in Sunamganj district on Wednesday night.
According to BGB sources, a special patrol team from Sylhet Battalion (48 BGB) led by Deputy Commander Major Md Nurul Huda seized the weapons and ammunition approximately 250 yards inside the Bangladesh border, near pillar 1234/3-S in the Moulanadi bridge area of the Banglabazar union under Doarabazar upazila.
The seized items include one Indian-made revolver valued at Tk 60,000 and six rounds of ammunition valued at Tk 1,200 with a total seizure value of Tk 61,200.
BGB said that the seized weapons and ammunition were found without an owner. They will be handed over to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
