50000 cubic feet of looted stone seized in Sylhet

Upazila administration has seized around 50000 more cubic feet of stone which was looted from a quarry in Companiganj upazila has been seized from Sadar Upazila in Sylhet district on Saturday afternoon.

According to locals, a team led by Executive Magistrate Mehdi Hasan Hridoy, assisted by members of RAB-9 conducted a drive at a crusher mill in Dhopagul area of Sadar Upazila and seized a huge quantity of illegally stored stones.

Sylhet Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Khoshnur Rubaiyat confirmed the incident and said that around 50000 cubic feet of stone have been seized from a crusher mill in a drive by the upazila administration.

Legal action will be taken against those involved in this incident, added the UNO.
