Sohan hospitalised, Shoriful suffers hamstring injury

Wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan has been hospitalised after sustaining an ankle injury during the third and final T20I at the Bir Shreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram on Friday.

Meanwhile, fast bowler Shoriful Islam suffered a hamstring injury during the same match.

Sohan had to leave the field on a stretcher during the 11th over of West Indies’ innings, with his left leg raised and in obvious discomfort. The team physiotherapist immediately attended to him before he was taken for further medical assessment.

Shoriful, who bowled two overs conceding 12 runs, will also be monitored closely for the hamstring issue.

Further updates on the condition of both players are expected on Saturday.
