Next year’s Ijtema to be held after national elections: Religious Adviser

Religious Affairs Adviser Dr. AFM Khalid Hossain on Sunday said that next year’s Bishwa Ijtema will be held after national elections.

Both groups of the Tablighi Jamaat have agreed to hold the Ijtema after the elections, he added.

The adviser came up with the information while talking to reporters after a meeting with the representatives of the two factions of the Tabligh Jamaat at the Secretariat.

The exact date of the Ijtema would be finalised later in consultation with both sides,Khalidfurther added.
