PM vows to establish justice across state, society

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has reaffirmed his government’s commitment to establishing justice across the state and society.

He made the remarks on Monday (20 April) morning while inaugurating the e-bail bond system in his hometown Bogura.

This marks his first visit to Bogura since assuming office as Prime Minister.

Earlier in the day, he inaugurated the newly constructed multi-storey building of the Bogura District Bar Association.

During the day-long visit, he is also scheduled to formally inaugurate Bogura City Corporation, recently designated as the country’s 13th city corporation.

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister is expected to visit his ancestral home in Bagbari village of Gabtoli Upazila in the district. There, he will launch a measles vaccination campaign and a family card distribution programme at the Ziaur Rahman Rural Hospital. He will also initiate the excavation work of the Choukirdah canal.

As part of the concluding events of the visit, Prime Minister Rahman will address a large public rally organised by the district BNP at the historic Altafunnesa Playground at 4:00pm.

Before returning to Dhaka, he is also expected to inaugurate the new building of the Bogura Press Club and the reconstruction work of the Baitur Rahman Central Mosque.
