Sunita Ahuja addresses rumors of Govinda’s alleged affair, says ‘I’ll speak the truth myself’

Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood actor Govinda, has again responded to speculation about their marriage and the actor’s alleged extramarital affairs.

Speaking on The Abraa Kaa Dabra Show podcast hosted by Paras S. Chhabra, Sunita said she does not believe any rumors unless she sees proof herself. “I’ve heard these things too — supposedly about a Marathi actress — but until I see it with my own eyes or catch him red-handed, I can’t believe or declare anything,” she said.

She added that at this stage in life, Govinda should focus on their children — daughter Tina and son Yashvardhan. “This isn’t the age to be doing all that. Govinda should be thinking about settling our daughter and Yash’s career,” she said. “Until I say something myself, don’t believe the rumors.”

Sunita also encouraged women to be financially independent, revealing that her YouTube channel recently earned a Silver Button. “A woman should stand on her own feet. When your husband gives you money, it comes after asking several times — but your own earnings are truly yours,” she said.

The actor’s wife shared that she currently lives with her children in a four-bedroom home, while Govinda stays elsewhere. Jokingly, she added, “This house feels small for us. Through this podcast, I want to say, ‘Chichi, buy me a big five-bedroom house — or else see what happens!’”

Rumors of tension in their marriage surfaced earlier this year when Sunita reportedly sent Govinda a separation notice, though no action followed. The couple later appeared together during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, dismissing the rumors. “If something had happened between us, would we be standing so close today?” Sunita said at the time. “No one can separate us — not even God or the devil.”

Govinda and Sunita married in 1987 and kept their relationship private until after the birth of their daughter Tina in 1988. Their son Yashvardhan was born in 1997.
