Rashed Khan joins BNP

Rashed Khan, general secretary of Gono Odhikar Parishad, has resigned from the party and joined the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

Earlier, Rashed Khan submitted his resignation letter to Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur.

Rashed has been nominated as the BNP candidate from the Jhenidah-4 constituency.

The development was announced at a party event, where BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir called on BNP leaders and activists to stand by Rashed Khan and extend full cooperation to ensure his victory in the upcoming election.

Fakhrul expressed confidence that Rashed Khan’s inclusion would strengthen the party in the constituency and urged all party members to work unitedly to secure his election.

Party sources said the Jhenidah-4 constituency has been allocated to Rashed Khan as part of seat-sharing arrangements with allied movements engaged in joint political campaigns.
