34 detained in Sunamganj

Police will continue the drive to maintain law and order situation in Sunamganj, says Sunamganj police super Police have detained 34 people including nine BNP-Jamaat activists in a special drive in Sunamganj district during countrywide blockade enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

The law enforcers conducted the drive from Monday evening till Tuesday morning, said Sunamganj Police Super Muhammad Harun-Ur-Rashid.

He said: “They were detained for carrying out violence.”Police would continue the drive to maintain law and order situation in Sunamganj, added the police official.
