Vitamin A campaigning starts in Sylhet

Director of health Dipartment (Administration) Dr Ahtesamul haque Chowdhury called for ensuring good health of children for building up a prosperous Bangladesh.
He said this while inaugurating Vitamin A plus campaigning as the chief guest at a health center on Saturday here.
Facilitating the volunteers and supervisors who involved in this service oriented programme, He reemphasized that mortality rate of both mothers and children has reduced after implementing these campaigns successfully.
Among others, the programme was addressed by SCC Secratary Rajai Rafin Shorkar, Health Officer  Dr Sudamoy mojumdar. At least 10,4052 children aged between six and 11 months were dosed blue-colored vitamin A capsule and 81,067 children aged between 12 and 59 months were fed a dosed red- colored vitamin A capsule in the campaigning.
A total of 630 volunteers under 210centers under 27 wards as well as 22 mobile teams in this regard.
