Iftar Mahfil at Brick Lane Mosque

A Iftar gathering organised by the Brick Lane Mosque was held at the mosque conference hall on 3rd Ramadan 1437 Hijri, 8 June.

Prior to the breaking of fast mosque Chairman Sajjad Miah hosted a brief discussion on the importance of fasting. Guests who were at the event & addressed the gathering were Bangladesh’s Acting High Commissioner Khondker Md Talha, Rushanara Ali MP, Tower Hamlets Mayor John Biggs, Speaker Cllr Khales Uddin Ahmed and Imam Moulana Nazrul Islam. All the guests wished peace and goodwill for humankind. Amongst the guests were worshippers, businessmen, journalists, political & community activists who joined the worshippers to break fast.

The Mosque Committee appealed to all to contribute generously to upgrade the listed building. They have also arranged for a fund raising on 15 June at ATN Bangla.
