Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the prices of 12kg liquified petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders by Tk 18 to Tk 1,381 for the month of November.
Besides, at the consumer level, the price of autogas has been adjusted to Tk 63.36 per kg, including VAT.
The new prices will come into effect from 6pm Thursday (November 2), BERC chairman Nurul Amin announced this in a press conference Thursday afternoon.
He said the price has been hiked following an increase in LPG price in the international market.
According to the fresh prices, 15 kg cylinder will now cost Tk 1,726; 16 kg Tk 1,842; 18 kg Tk 2,072; 20 kg Tk 2,302; 22 kg Tk 2,532; 25 kg Tk 2,877; 30 kg Tk 3,453; 33 kg 3,718; 35 kg Tk 4,028 and 45 kg Tk 5,179.
Earlier, the government increased 12 kg LPG cylinder prices by Tk 79 from Tk 1,284 to Tk 1,363 for October.
The price of a 12kg LPG cylinder was the lowest at Tk 999 in July this year.
