Less than 20pc voter turnout in first 4 hrs

Election Commission Secretary Jahangir Alam has said that voter turnout in the third phase of upazila parishad election was less than 20 per cent in the first four hours.

He said this while briefing journalist at Agargaon Election Bhaban on Wednesday noon about the election updates.

“Due to technical problems in the network, we got sporadic data. It has been found that somewhere 17, somewhere 18 and somewhere 20 per cent of votes cast.”
