And the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) hosted a midnight reception for them at the amphitheater in the capital’s Hatirjheel when the city was the city of sleep.
They landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 2AM. Later, they were directly taken to Hatirjheel.
At about 3:15AM, when the team arrived at the venue, BFF executive committee members greeted them with bouquets.
Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki was the chief guest ofthe 35 minutes event.
Former national team captain Aminul Haque, North City Corporation Administrator Mohammad Ejaz, BFF President Tabith Awal, team captain Afida Khandaker Pranti, forward Rituparna Chakma and coach Peter Butler were also present.
Two key players–Ritu Porna Chakma and Monika Chakma–were set to leave for Bhutan today.
