Industrialists has met Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at his temporary office in Bashundhara in the capital.
During the courtesy meeting on Sunday, they exchanged views on the prospects of Bangladesh’s industry and trade, new investment opportunities and the investment climate, as well as contemporary challenges, particularly the Labour Law 2025.
Former caretaker government adviser and Managing Director of Square Group Tapan Chowdhury, BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan, BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem, Bangladesh Employers’ Federation President Fazlee Shamim Ehsan, BGMEA Director Saifullah Mansur, Chairman of BGMEA’s One Stop Service Cell Mozammel Haque Bhuiyan, and Chairman of its Public Relations and Promotion Committee Masud Kabir were present at the meeting.
Meanwhile, Jamaat’s Industry and Commerce Division President Shahidul Islam, Secretary General Dr Anwarul Azim, and noted physician Dr Khaliduzzaman were there.
Dr Shafiqur Rahman has stressed improvements in worker-factory owner ties for keeping the economy healthy and industries protected.
