Remittance inflow rises 13.5 percent year-on-year in early September

Bangladesh’s remittance inflow has seen a significant year-on-year increase of 13.5 percent in the first 13 days of September 2025, according to the latest data released by Bangladesh Bank today.

During this period, the country received $1,306 million in remittances, compared to $1,150 million in the same timeframe last year.

From July to September 13, total remittance inflows stood at $6,205 million, marking a notable rise from $5,288 million received during the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The growth in remittance is seen as a positive sign for the country’s foreign currency reserves and overall economic stability, particularly amid global economic uncertainties.
