Charges submitted against Hasina, Tarique Siddique over enforced disappearance

Two formal charges have been submitted to the International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT) against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and the her security and defence adviser Tarique Ahmed Siddique for the first time over enforced disappearance.

Sheikh Hasina and 16 others have been made accused in one charge, while 13 individuals, including Hasina, in another.

The state’s prosecution team submitted the charges to the tribunal on Wednesday, prosecutor Gazi Manowar Hossain Tamim confirmed this.
