
Dharmapasha Press Club in Sunamganj district has formed a new two-year executive committee to lead the organization.
The announcement came following a general meeting held on Tuesday at 3:00 PM in Upazila Parishad hall.
During the meeting, Selim Ahmed, a representative of Dainik Sangbad, was elected as president, while Shakin Shah of Jaijaidin was elected as general secretary.
Both were elected unopposed and the remaining members of 14-member committee were appointed based on unanimous agreement.
Other office bearers include Arif Khan (The Daily Observer) as vice president, Shah Md Monir Hossain (Amar Barta) as joint general secretary, Ravi Mia (Bangladesh Pratidin) as organizational secretary, Akmal Hossain Chowdhury (Bhorer Shomoy) as treasurer, Syed Kutub (Dainik Songram) as office secretary and Saiful Islam (Movie Bangla TV) as publicity secretary.
The committee’s executive members are Md. Rafiqul Islam Titu (Dainik Jonokotha), Imam Hossain (Muktakhobor) and Md. Shamim Ahmed (Somoyer Bulletin), while general members include Md. Al Amin (Amader Matribhum), Moinul Karim Raja (Dainik Bangla Dhara) and Ilias Haider Setu (Ajker Khobor).
At conclusion of the meeting, portions of the press club’s constitution were read aloud and the newly elected committee pledged to work together in a unified manner to fulfill their responsibilities.
