PM meets newly appointed zila parishad administrators

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held a meeting with the newly appointed administrators of 42 zila parishads on Monday night.

The meeting took place at the BNP Chairman’s office in the capital’s Gulshan area and marked the first formal engagement between the Prime Minister and the administrators since their appointment on 15 March.

During the meeting, the administrators were instructed to carry out their duties effectively at the grassroots level.

The Prime Minister placed particular emphasis on strengthening the local government structure, accelerating development activities at the grassroots, and ensuring efficient public service delivery.

He also urged the administrators to remain close to the people and work in line with public expectations.

The meeting was attended by Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, State Minister for LGRD Mir Shah Alam, and other relevant officials.
