Five year old boy kidnapped in Sunamganj

A minor boy was abducted by miscreants from Batirkandi village in Chhatak upazila in Sunamganj on Friday.

The victim was identified as Emon, 5, a resident of the same village.

Family sources said a group of miscreants abducted Emon near his house on the Chhatak-
Doara road of the village at about 4:30 pm.

Later, they demanded Tk2 lakh from the victim’s family over phone as ransom.

Chhatak Police Station OC Harun-or-Rashid Chowdhury told a news agency that they received a complaint lodged by Emon’s family.
