As a singer, evergreen singer Kumar Bishwajit received the National Film Awards for two times. He got the awards in category of Best Singer for PA Kajol’s Swami Strir Wada and Mostafa Kamal Raj’s Projapoti in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Kumar Bishwajit is optimistic as a music director for Prashun Rahman’s directed movie Sutopa’r Thikana. While talking about the movie Kumar Bishwajit told this correspondent, “After many days, I have rendered some songs with my liking. I worked for the movie’s songs with very cordially. The singers who have sang in this movie they performed really well. I have also rendered the song with my choice. I hope the songs will take place in the minds of the listeners.”Lyrics of most of the songs of Sutopa’r Thikana were composed by Prashun Rahman where Kumar Bishwajit, Samina Chowdhury, Chandana Mazumder, Kona and Kishore gave their vocals for the play-back songs. Already the movie got censor certificate. On the occasion of International Mother’s Day, on May 8, the movie is scheduled to be released. However, Kumar Bishwajit also rendered song for Moushumi’s directed Shunnyo Hridoy recently, he said.
