November 2015 Paris Attack

37By Fatema Miah ::

We all are aware of the recent incident of Paris Attack via media news. On the evening of 13 November 2015 there in Paris a series of attacks took place.  It is very disturbing and sad that 129 people were killed and further nearly 500 reported injured in the multiple attacks.  The attacks what is understood to be coordinated terrorist attacks in the capital city of France, planned and carried out by IS the renowned Middle East terrorist group.
Within just a day of the November 2015 attacks there a Wikipedia page been already created with sufficient amount of details as has been addressed in news broadcasting. Also the incident has taken the front line of all news channels, and throughout all social media sources the same Paris attacks topic is the prime topic of discussion.
In detail, as it has been repeatedly broadcasted in all TV channels, the attacks took place in Paris at the same or within a similar time scale over different places that in consisting of mass shootings, suicide bombings, and hostage-taking. The attacks occurred in Paris, in the northern suburb of Saint-Denis at 21:20 CET. There were three separate suicide bombings outside the Stade de France nearer central Paris. Also there were mass shootings and a suicide bombing at four different locations. The deadliest of those attacks took place at the Bataclan theatre, where attackers took hostages and engaged in a stand-off with police which ended at 00:58 on 14 November.
It is understood and concluded through investigation of the intelligence and policing that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant ISIL held responsibility for the attacks. The terrorists have been successful in their planned aimed attacks in Paris. It was a great mastermind co-ordinated plan of  attacks and has caused vast effect of disturbances, injuries and deaths. This also drew the entire world’s attention.
This attack as well as shocked the western world, it has encouraged rift among citizens. Alongside fear hate and distrust rose in hearts. In places, hate and resentment kicking off in the form of Islamaphobia. ISIL the terrorists group are taken as Islamic militant by most people all over the world and linking them to general Muslims.
Even Muslims, a significant number, are failing to show a clear picture of ISIL terrorists group is unti- Islamic. No doubt and in fact it is true that vast majority Muslims disagree with ISIL’s ideology of bloodsheding cruelty, sadly most are silent and failing with their messages. People thoughtlessly uttering idiotic comments; some blaming western countries for their air strikes in Syria and Iraq.
It is very sad and concerning that air strikes in Syria and Iraq causing suffering, injuries and death to public there. Thus ISIL has been causing distress, suffering and death there in the region, which is not a pleasant issue for the locals and International people either. It is an unwise manner that People raising the death toll in Arab region in such sadning situation against west in comparison to recent attacks in Paris, while Europe has given shelter to number of war refugees from the very region.
On the other hand, a group of Muslim women to deliver their message of disliking ISIL’s ideology of attacks, raised banners saying not in my name. By doing so, do they give message that they are somehow same as those Terrorists? Or are they acknowledging the Terrorists are acting on their behalf? Or do they give declare of terrorists are Muslims and acting according to Islam?
Makes me wonder about this phrase “Not in my name”, Why do I need to explain or state ‘not in my name’! Terrorists do not attack in my name anyway, they committing crimes against us ordinary public. Why my name would come in Paris attack, when I am a British Muslim of Bangladeshi ethnicity. I live in UK, in a democratic country allows freedom of speech and practise within the line of morality.
In my opinion, ‘Not in my name’ phrase fits well in situation where a legitimate representation or an organisation or a government acting on its own, or with a sub-division of its members proceed ahead on a mission without consent or against a number of its members’ opinions. For example the Iraq war on Terror in the last decade, when Labour Blair government gone on war in Iraq against British public disapproval.
Crime is crime. No justification needed. Phrase ‘Moderate Muslims’ has been formed. What is it and why? Is it to allow or to shelter crimes, terrorism and hatred by allowing manipulating using phrases like ‘moderate Muslim’ making a parallel factor of non-moderate Muslims and what is non-moderate Muslims in this sense. Cruelty is crime Hatred is immoral. Muslim is a devout practitioner of tolerance and acts of kindness while maintaining morality and respective of values.
Shame terrorists are being successful again not only hurting civilians also causing hatred among citizens. A plot against faith Islam; to cause hatred in the west against Muslims, terrorist acting as such. We respective and decent human being shouldn’t let down the unity.
There are hypocrites taking most advantage of such delicate situation and expressing ill messages to fit in.  There are few rigid fanatics harbour ill ideology. There are narrow-minded hate preachers; Muslim claimers and atheist making inappropriate, quarrelsome and indecent opinionated comments connecting Terrorism to Islam and Muslims. Further, we Muslims failing to convey message of the definition of Jihad is Tolerance, self-restrain and Mercy.
