India have reached the final of the ICC U-19 World Cup to be played in Dhaka on 14 February.
On Tuesday, the junior Indians beat Sri Lanka by 97 runs in the first semi-final the Shere Bangla National Stadium.
Strong batting by Anmolpreet Singh and Sarfaraz Khan contributed to India’s win after they posted a good total of 267 runs on the board. Anmolpreet scored 72 and Sarfaraz made 59.
Anmolpreet Singh was adjudged man of the match.
The Indian bowlers then created pressure on the young Sri Lankans and dismissed them for 170 runs in 42.4 overs.
Mayank Dagar was the most successful among the Indian bowlers with figures of 3/21. Shammu Ashan was the highest scorer for the Lankans with 38.
