Habiganj Foundation UK starts its activities in London

UK expatriates ex-residents of Habiganj established a non profit making charity organisation Habiganj Foundation UK with the aim towards working for the development of Habiganj district.

A co-ordinating committee was formed to determine the future work and action plan in a meeting at a restaurant in East London.

Syed Rob was nominated as the Co-ordianator of the 12 members co-ordinating committee. The other members are Md Alamin Miah, Khaer Jaman Jahangir, Salauddin Suhel, Aditya Sadi, Biplob Pal, Khaer Ahmed, Gourob Roy Mithun, Shahed Hasan, Shah Sohid Ali, Dulal Ahmed and Kabir Miah.

The new committe decided to organise an annual Habiganj Ananda Mela due to be held on 31^st of July 2017. The committee also aims to work towards the advancement of education, health provisoin, employment, residence, culture and sports of Habiganj.
