Another goods-laden truck set ablaze in Habiganj

A goods-laden truck set on fire by miscreants in Habiganj Sadar upazila on Monday morning during the 7th edition of 48 hours blockade across the country enforced by BNP and its like-minded parties.

Quoting locals, police said some unidentified miscreants set fire to a plastic made goods-laden truck on the Habiganj-Shayestaganj bypass road at around 8am.

Being informed by locals, RAB, police and firefighters rushed there and doused the blaze, said Ajay Chandra Dev, officer-in-charge of Habiganj Sadar Police Station.

The all plastic made goods and the truck have been burnt in the fire. Police brought the truck under police custody and legal actions were underway in this regard, the OC added.

Earlier, miscreants set fire to a goods-laden truck in front of Kajla gate of Rajshahi University (RU) early Monday.
