Woman’s hanging body found in Moulvibazar

Police recovered the hanging body of a woman from Bhabnul village of Kamalganj upazila in Moulvibazar on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Ambia Begum, 35, wife of Belal Miah, a resident of the same village in the upazila.

According to police, locals found Ambia’s hanging body from the ceiling of her room and informed police.

A team of police recovered the body and sent it to Moulvibazar General Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination, said Kamalganj Police Station Sub-Inspector Anik Das.

An unnatural death case was lodged with the police station, the SI added.
