Bangladesh-China trade conference on June 1, 250 investors to participate

Bangladesh is going to hold investment and trade conference with China. The day-long conference is set to begin on June 1 under the joint initiative of both the governments.

This information was revealed through a Facebook post of Ashik Chowdhury, the executive chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), on Monday (May 26).

The conference will be attended by 250 investors and businessmen from about 100 Chinese companies, including top executives from 6-7 companies under Fortune 500. In addition, top representatives from four Chinese Chambers of Commerce will be present, according to the post.

Mentioning that this is the first time so many investors and businessmen from one country are visiting Bangladesh at the same time, BIDA chairman said, “China’s Commerce Minister Wang Wentao is leading the delegation.”
