Bengal Dragons Foundation Hosts Inspiring Community Event at Principality Stadium.

The Bengal Dragons Foundation proudly hosted An Evening of Inspiration at the iconic Principality Stadium, bringing together community members, young people, sports fans, and families for a memorable evening centred around inspiration, resilience, and representation.

The event featured special guests Hamza Choudhury and Hamza Uddin, who shared personal reflections on their journeys through professional sport, overcoming challenges, discipline, faith, identity, and the importance of inspiring the next generation.

Hamza Choudhury, known for his career in English football with Leicester City and his international involvement with the Bangladesh national football team, widely regarded by fans as one of the biggest icons in Bangladesh football and affectionately referred to as the “Messi of Bangladesh” by supporters, spoke openly about the pressures of elite football, representing his heritage on the international stage, and the importance of visibility for young British Bangladeshis in sport.

Hamza Uddin, British Bangladeshi Professional Boxer 6-0 (3 KOs), WBA International Champion, English Champion, and signed to Matchroom Boxing, discussed his journey into professional boxing, the discipline required at elite level, and the importance of hard work, resilience, and self-belief in achieving success.

The event created a vibrant and engaging atmosphere throughout the evening. Guests took part in a live audience Q&A session, exclusive meet and greet experiences and photo opportunities.

A key topic of discussion during the evening was the growing attention surrounding Bangladesh football, including excitement around the Bangladesh Football Federation’s search for a new national team coach and reports linking former Wales manager Chris Coleman with the role.

Babru Miah, Event Co-ordinator for the Bengal Dragons Foundation, said:

“Bengal Dragons Foundation are incredibly proud to have brought together such inspiring role models for our community at the Principality Stadium. Events like this are about far more than sport. They are about representation, aspiration, and showing young people that success is possible regardless of background.”

“Seeing so many families, young people, and community members come together for such a positive evening was truly special. The stories shared by Hamza Choudhury and Hamza Uddin reflected resilience, hard work, discipline, and identity, values that strongly resonate within our communities.”

“This event forms part of our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful opportunities that connect sport, culture, and community empowerment. We hope everyone who attended left feeling inspired and motivated.”

The Bengal Dragons Foundation would like to thank all attendees, volunteers, partners, sponsors, media teams, and supporters who contributed towards the success of the event.

The Foundation continues its work across Wales supporting communities through sport, youth engagement, education, wellbeing, sustainability, and cultural initiatives.
