Free eye camp and healthcare camp held in Hilalpur Moulvibazar.

A day-long free eye and health camp was held on

Thursday, June 25, 2026. The event was organized by the humanitarian

organization "Hilalpur Manob Kalyan Sangstha" with financial support from

Hilalpur expatriates living in the UK and the comprehensive cooperation of

BNSB Eye Hospital, Moulvibazar.

At the health service camp held at Shah Helal High School, free health check-

ups and medical consultations were provided to over a hundred

patients—including individuals with diabetes—who had arrived from various

parts of the district. To diagnose various eye problems, patients visiting

the camp undergo eye examinations conducted by ophthalmologists.

Additionally, a medicine specialist examines the patients health and

provides necessary medical advice.

The organizers stated that theorganization would arrange for free surgeries at BNSB Eye Hospital,

Moulvibazar, for patients requiring eye operations. Additionally, the

organization arranged for the free distribution of medicines and eyeglasses to

underprivileged patients.

Patients who benefited from the free healthcare services expressed their

gratitude to the organizers. Speaking on behalf of the Hilalpur Manab Kalyan

Sangstha, UK-based expatriates Chalik Ahmed and Syed Mujib stated that such

public welfare activities—aimed at standing by the helpless and

underprivileged members of society—would continue in the future.Nazrul

Islam Okib—a poet, organizer, and native of Hilalpur village currently residing

in Britain—described this as undoubtedly a praiseworthy initiative. He thanked

all the members of the organization and called upon the expatriate community

to come forward and support their activities.

Locals concerned with community welfare welcomed the initiative, describing

such healthcare programs for the rural population as vital and praiseworthy.

Elderly residents and the youth of the area served as volunteers during the

day-long event. Mr. Md. Mayun Miah, a prominent politician and former

Mayor of Moulvibazar Municipality, attended this public-service initiative and

highly commended the organizers.
