Health Minister makes surprise visit to upazila hospital

Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain (Bakul) made a surprise inspection visit to Charbhadrasan Upazila Health Complex in Faridpur.

During the visit, he inquired about overall hospital activities and interacted with patients while touring various wards.

The Health Minister arrived at the health complex around 8:30 AM on Sunday (August 30). He stayed at the facility for nearly two hours before leaving around 10:20 AM.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Julhas Hossain Sourav and Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Hafizur Rahman were present during the inspection.

Official sources said the Minister directed authorities to take administrative action against Trinamul Family Planning Assistant (TFPA) Rina Akter for being absent without approved leave.

The Health Minister also assured that the Charbhadrasan Upazila Health Complex will be upgraded to a 151-bed facility and the number of cleaning staff will be increased.
